What it is
A craft of
cement, polymer
and weather.
Rendering is a cementitious coating system — sand, cement, lime and polymer modifiers — built up across two to four coats and finished by hand to give an exterior wall its final architectural surface.
Hand-floating render across Adelaide for over a decade, we work across new builds, brick renovations, lightweight cladding systems (Hebel, polystyrene, blue board) and architectural facades. We work in both traditional cement render and modern acrylic and polymer-modified systems — chosen by substrate and brief, not by what is fastest.
Done well, render is not a coating that sits on a wall. It is a continuous mineral surface, three to twenty millimetres thick, that becomes part of the building’s structure. It weathers slowly, repairs in place, and gives a brick or panel exterior a depth no paint can match. It is the exterior counterpart to our Venetian plaster and microcement work.
The Family
Five systems,
one craft.
Our rendering services Adelaide-wide cover a family of related systems — different chemistries, different thicknesses, different substrates. We specify and apply all five, matched to the wall it lives on and the brief it serves.

The Why
Why render?
Render does what paint cannot: it transforms an exterior. A solid mineral surface, bonded to the wall, that takes weather, takes time, and gives a brick or panel facade the architectural depth it was built for. Done by hand, it ages quietly — a finish, not a coating.
Applications
Where it
lives.
Rendering is at its best on exteriors that are seen daily, weather every season, and need to read as architecture rather than coverage. Across Adelaide we render new builds, brick renovations, lightweight cladding, pool surrounds and heritage facades. Rendering Adelaide homes spans every common substrate and architectural style.
01
New Builds & Architects
Whole-of-house render for new residential and architect-designed builds. Specified to plan, scoped with the builder.
02
Brick Rendering
Rendering over solid brick, double-brick and brick veneer. The most cost-effective exterior transformation in Adelaide.
03
Hebel & AAC Panels
Acrylic render system applied over Hebel PowerPanel and PowerWall. Mesh-reinforced base coat with hand-floated finish.
04
Polystyrene & EPS
Rendering over EPS panel cladding and polystyrene-insulated systems. Lightweight, crack-resistant, fully sealed.
05
Blue Board & Fibre Cement
Acrylic render systems over blue board, James Hardie and CSR fibre-cement cladding. Specified to manufacturer detail.
06
Pool Surrounds & Outdoor
UV-stable and salt-tolerant render, ideal for pool surrounds, alfresco walls, courtyards and feature exterior walls.
07
Render Repairs
Hairline crack repair, blown render, water damage and patch matching. Most repairs blend back without re-rendering.
08
Heritage & Lime Render
Traditional lime-mortar render for heritage facades and conservation work. Breathable systems, period-correct finishes.

We handle Rendering Adelaide projects for private homeowners, architects, interior designers, builders and commercial developers across South Australia — from single-wall feature renders to whole-of-house new builds and full hospitality fit-outs.
Residential
For the home
House rendering Adelaide projects — whole-house render for new builds, full re-renders over existing brick, single feature walls and pool surrounds. Sample boards prepared on site, in the actual light, before any commitment.
Commercial
For the project
Hospitality facades, retail shopfronts, day-spa exteriors and considered commercial buildings across Adelaide. Specification documents, sample kits and trade pricing supplied to architects and builders on request.
Colour
A natural
exterior palette.
Acrylic render is supplied pre-tinted with mineral oxides — UV-stable, fade-resistant, naturally toned. A starting library; bespoke colour matching available for architectural specifications.

Process
From substrate
to finished facade.
Rendering Adelaide projects typically take seven to fourteen days for a single-storey house; a two-storey build runs two to three weeks. Most of the time is preparation and curing — render needs to set fully between coats. Every layer hand-floated, never sprayed for the finish coat.
Compared to
Why not just paint?
A frequent question, especially for older brick homes. Render and paint solve different problems — paint is a thin coating that follows the wall’s existing surface; render is a built-up mineral system that becomes the wall’s surface. They look, age and cost very differently.

Investment
A guide to cost.
Rendering Adelaide projects are priced per square metre and vary by system, substrate condition, height and access. Scaffolding, two-storey work and difficult access are scoped separately. Every project is quoted bespoke after a site visit — these tiers are a guide only.
