Questions
Frequently Asked
What is Venetian plaster?
Venetian plaster is a decorative lime-and-marble finish applied by hand in multiple thin layers, then burnished to a smooth, subtly luminous surface. The result is seamless and tactile, with natural depth and movement that shifts beautifully with the light.
Is Venetian plaster durable and hard-wearing?
Yes. Once cured and sealed, a lime-based Venetian plaster finish is hard-wearing and long-lasting. It ages gracefully rather than dating, which makes it well suited to both family homes and high-traffic commercial spaces.
How do I care for and clean it?
Very little upkeep is required. Dust with a soft, dry cloth and wipe gently with a damp cloth when needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners and scourers, a sealed finish adds protection against everyday marks and moisture.
Where can Venetian plaster be applied?
Feature walls, ceilings, fireplaces, bulkheads, rangehoods and curved or sculptural forms, across homes, showrooms, restaurants and commercial fit-outs. With the right sealing it can also suit splashbacks and select low-traffic wet areas.
